When to Visit Jordan

You can travel Jordan any time of the year as Jordan has eight generous months of sunshine. On your tour of Jordan, in 40min you can be on a mountain over 1000m above sea and travel to a valley to under 400m below sea level. In 40min, on your Jordan holiday, you may experience a 15 degree Celsius change in temperature.

Ramadan is an interesting period to visit Jordan as it is a great opportunity to experience culture at its finest. Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, the date of which varies according to the Islamic lunar calendar. During Ramadan, alcohol is not sold, except to non-Muslims in larger hotels. Smoking, eating and drinking in public is prohibited during the hours of daylight. As a sign of respect, visitors are kindly requested to refrain from these activities in public during fasting hours.

During Ramadan, many stores, banks and offices open late after 09:00 and close early around 14:00.
